Mental Health Practitioner

Are you asking yourself the same questions- “Why do I feel stuck?, “Why do I keep repeating relationship patterns? Why am I anxious all the time?”- then you are in the right place. Life can bring us some tough challenges, and it’s not always easy to navigate them on our own. Sometimes the path to therapy is clear—whether you’re navigating a major life change, grappling with loss, trauma, or noticing patterns that don’t serve you. Sometimes the path isn’t so clear. You might feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, overwhelmed by the pace of life, or struggling to make sense of bigger uncertainties like career changes, relationships, or the state of the world. No matter where you find yourself, Rebeca believes there is hope for meaningful and lasting change and comfort.

Rebeca is often described as direct, compassionate, and someone with a steady grounded presence that helps clients through all phases of life and change. She brings a gentle but honest approach to therapy to help get you feeling “un-stuck”, without leaving humor, perspective, and real-life considerations out of it.

Rebeca works with individuals 18+ as well as couples. She has experience working in Intensive outpatient for substance use, residential high-level care, and private practice. Her approach is all about offering a warm, supportive space where you can feel truly understood. You’ll work together to gently uncover and address the patterns that might be holding you back. In your sessions, your pain is welcomed with empathy and care, sessions can assist to transform it into a source of growth and strength.

Rebeca’s therapeutic methods blend narrative therapy, existential therapy, and person-centered therapy while also incorporating aspects of Mindfulness based perspectives -all tailored to help you gain clarity, understand yourself, and find a path forward to change your life.

Rebeca uses Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a gentle, fast-acting approach that uses bilateral stimulation to replace distressing trauma images with positive ones, often bringing relief in just a fewsessions. She also helps clients understand how trauma affects the brain and body, fostering greater self-awareness and a sense of grounding and empowerment. Rebeca integrates ART with other modalities focused on self-esteem, attachment, distress tolerance, self-regulation, and coping to help clients build a personalized toolkit for healing and everyday life.

Looking for a therapist that feels like they fit can be hard, please reach out to see if working together feels like a right fit. Rebeca offers 10-15 minute phone calls to chat about what you are looking for and to ask any questions that you may have.

Outside of the therapy space, you may find Rebeca spending time outdoors, biking, gardening, reading a book, needlepointing, or spending time with her friends and family.

Rebeca currently practices under the supervision of Kelly Heagle, LMFT.
