Dr. Gretchen Moen,DNP APRN CPNP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Moen’s approach to patient care has been shaped by her commitment to trauma-informed practice, developed through her dual roles as both a practitioner and an educator. She takes a direct approach—something families often need most, as they’re already navigating complex systems to meet their children's needs. She also helps adolescent and young adult clients navigate medication management while also providing a space for questions and a listening ear for their life stories.
Dr Moen's straightforward and warm manner is combined with her deep connection with patients. With her younger patients she is known to provide thoughtfully chosen sensory toys, connecting with the child directly in appointments and having a snack ready at the end of the appointment.
Clients have said that they value Dr. Moen’s ability to connect with them, her continued contact while medications are established and adjusted, and her referrals to supportive services. She has been known to be a consistent, trusted resource for her clients. Dr. Moen is known to provide one-on-one, accessible and tailored services to meet the needs of all her patients.
Dr. Moen enjoys working with patients through young adulthood, is skilled at working with clients with complex needs and provides comprehensive care including attending outside meetings with her clients to provide wrap around support.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Moen enjoys building with Legos, diving into projects in her overflowing craft room, spending time at her family cabin. But most of all, she cherishes being a grandma. (And yes—given enough notice, she’s been known to show up to a party with her famous hummingbird cake.)
