Clients have described Anika as understanding, approachable, consistent, and relatable. Her style of therapy takes on differing modalities such as Narrative, Feminist, and Rogerian, allowing clients to feel they can take pride in their narratives. Anika curates a space for her clients to feel safe while incorporating DBT, CBT, IFS, and trauma-informed techniques that challenges dysfunctional narratives about self and negative thought processes.
Anika specializes in working with clients ages 18+ with substance use, life transitions, anxiety, self-confidence and ADHD. Anika continues to pursue trauma informed techniques which offers her clients a space to deepen their understanding of their trauma and provide a safe space to address what feels unapproachable.
Anika has experience working in substance use intensive outpatient programming, residential mental health facilities, and harms-reduction programming. Anika currently practices under the supervision of Nicole Carreon, LMFT and Kelly Heagle, LMFT.
Outside of her clinical work, Anika enjoys crafting, seeing her friends and family, walking her poodle, and cooking.
