Angela Melland, APRN, DNP, PMHNP

Medication Management 14 +

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, including 7 years as a nurse practitioner. I am passionate about providing equitable, ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care. My approach is rooted in building therapeutic relationships, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to understanding each individual's unique challenges. I aim to empower my patients to lead fulfilling lives while fostering resilience and long-term wellness.

I have a particular interest in working with patients with ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ASD, and trauma. While my NP experience has been in the outpatient setting, I have worked across the continuum of care as a psychiatric nurse, including home care, residential, inpatient, IOP/PHP, and outpatient clinic settings.

In addition to my clinical practice, I work as a professor at St. Kate's. I am politically active and driven by social justice, advocating for mental health at every opportunity. Outside of work, I value my friends, family, and community. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, knitting, listening to podcasts, doing crosswords, and spending time with my cats.
